TCE 621 protects communications between hosts by adding end-to-end security services to the IP protocol. TCE 621 has been approved by NATO for all security levels, including Cosmic Top Secret, and selected as the standard for NATO IP Crypto Equipment (NICE). It supports both IPv4 and IPv6 and is available in versions operating at data rates of up to 1 Gbps (Ethernet) and with alternative algorithms: secret, public (AES) or dual (secret and public). The primary functionality of the system is to provide confidentiality through encryption of classified data. Data integrity, data origin authentication and access control are other important security services offered by the system. Another unique feature is the support of secure, multicast-enabling, critical bandwidth saving. TCE 621 is the core product for data traffic encryption in NATO networks and has been procured by more than 20 NATO nations to date. |
