eCustodian is an electronic key management system (EKMS) for the planning, generation, storage, distribution and accounting of cryptographic keys. Approved for handling key data within any NATO classification up to and including Cosmic Top Secret, and currently in use by several NATO nations, the Thales eCustodian solution provides national crypto custodian organisations with enhanced security, reduced operating costs and faster response times. Unlike traditional manual methods, which are reliant on couriers, eCustodian enhances security by minimising the handling of classified red key data and improves efficiency by automating many labour-intensive tasks. It is particularly effective for supporting dynamic user requirements for out-of-area operations. eCustodian has a hierarchical structure and can be used to build general, nationwide EKMS systems, serving a range of deployed and future crypto systems. |
